America has a history of suppression, a history that WE are proud of. Our text books, our movies; our documentaries teach us the genocide of the First Nation of this land in order for the persecuted people of England to gain their freedoms in this new land. This suppression of lives and cultures continues into the most recent times when Africans were taken from their native lands, placed into slavery and not until the 19th century achieved equal rights as their white counterparts.
Now as a Nation here we are today, where all races are created equal, all people are created equal and we continue with this heritage of suppressing others as we deny the homosexual community to have full and equal rights that are allotted to the straight community. I feel that I should not be required to point out that sexuality is not bound by race or nationality and yet here we stand, as a Nation limiting the rights of the people of our neighborhoods, our friends, family, coworkers and your constituents because of the person we love.
By no other means other then hate have you limited the rights of the “equal people” of this Nation, by the ways of hate you have limited the rights of people, born of this country, of this land who by all laws have the rights to equality, to justice to be protected under God and Country, by no other means that hate you have limited the rights of the people who pay taxes, of the people who support local government, of the people who are suppose to “shop” our hard earned money away in order for this Nation to rise to occasion and to the greatness that we once held.
You Senator have limited the rights of the American People. You Senator have limited the rights of the people that support the government of the United States and the State of New York and Senator you have limited the rights that are granted and guaranteed as Citizens of the United States of America and we are not going to let you limit our rights anymore.
Please take into consideration that as this time I am respectfully requesting your reply. Please enlighten me as to how you can stand before the people of New York and deny the rights of the citizens of this great land, deny the freedoms that this country was founded on.
